The scammer's last message:

My dear, Mike. I did not write long time to you. I now do cleaning my house before Easter. We always do it. It is possible to tell even, that it is the general Russian tradition, to make cleaning before Easter. I now get tired very much. After work, I come home and I do cleaning. And though at us a small apartment, but we tidy up each corner. We have started to put things in order in cases all over again. Mum always stores there any old things, and we always touch it. she does not wish to throw out it. But I always throw out something. Then we wash floors and we clap carpets which cover our floor. And then we wash windows, we erase and we wipe a dust. All this borrows a lot of time and forces. And I simply could not write to you. But I hope, that you do not take offence at me. I know, that you understand me. You, probably, too have tradition to be tidied up in the house before Easter? Tomorrow we will have Easter in 00.00 one o'clock in the morning. And till this time we should not eat. If to be exact it is impossible to eat only up to пе6рвой stars. We shall prepare Pasha today, and tomorrow I shall prepare Kulich, and we shall paint eggs. You paint eggs for Easter? My dear, I shall wait your letter very much!!!! Your Elena.

This is our scam investigation report:

We went to Volzhsk today. Unfortunately, it is a big scam.
Yes, the address exists. The first three pictures show the street Lva Tolstogo, house No 6 and the sign on the house. But here the truth ends. A very old woman (in her late 70s) lives there alone. This is what she told us. 'I have a grandson. He is 25. He lives in Yoshkar-Ola. One day he visited me and told me that letters and packages from various foreign men will arrive at my address for Elena Lebedeva and he would pick them up from time to time. I have no idea what all this is about, who Elena Lebedeva is and what is in these letters'. And she was very curious to know who that "Elena Lebedeva" was. And nobody died in her family recently. And there is no children's prisons near Volzhsk.
In the fourth picture you can see the old woman. We are showing her "Elena Lebedeva's" picture.
Also the kludges confirm that the letters were sent from Yoshkar-Ola, not from Volzhsk.
Mike did you send "her" money by Western Union?

'Thank you. Unfortunately Yes. I have sent her aproximately $4,016.00 over  six months. I was wonder ing about your scam program on your website? I have  over 93 emails from "her" including other photos, Western union receipts,  and a recording of her vocie from my answering machine from when called to  me. I have it on tape.
She is very clever and convincing.
