Autumn 2005, the scammers sent passport data of their female friend to one of the dating websites, supplying them with the photos of Anastasiya Volochkova, the Russian ballet dancer. October 17, they chose a German citizen, who were attracted with the photos, and started a correspondence through the Internet.

But the fiancee who always needed money either to study, or to get medical treatment or to start the paperwork never came to visit her man. Suspecting that something was wrong, the man came to the police.
