First of all I'd like to say some words about myself. I'm a Russian woman seeking a husband abroad and I've been in it during the last couple of months. I have received enough letters to be able to compare them and make some conclusions, which, I believe, can be useful for westerners looking for a wife in the former Soviet Union.

Why am I writing this? I'm deeply sure that in spite of all these cautions about scammers and gold-diggers (I assume there are many), it is really worth searching for a wife in the East. I don't want to praise here myself or other women, I just want to help you to make the right choice and find a lady of your dream.

I've also read several pages at dating sites about writing letters, some advice I can agree with, some I can't, and maybe this is another reason for my writing this - to give you a better understanding of a Russian woman and avoid mistakes you can make reading information written by foreigners themselves or owners of the sites who's goal is to make you write to as many women as you can.
